August 1950. The Korean peninsula is covered by the fire of military conflagrations. South Korean troops are forced to retreat under the onslaught of the Korean People`s Army. The front line was stabilized only by the Naktongan River. Bloody battles are going on here. The company, consisting of seventy-one students, was ordered to keep the defense of the Phokhan secondary school for girls. They have a practically impossible task - to restrain the advance of the enemy, which is much superior to their number as possible.
