The film tells of a psychiatrist Jenny Isaxon, suffering from mental illness. Together with her husband, who is also a psychiatrist, they are successful in work, but slowly and inexorably her mental state continues to deteriorate. Yenny is relentlessly pursuing the ghosts of the past, as a result of which she ultimately is unable to function as a wife, doctor or personality.
