A small idyllic mountain village in France before the advent of the Germans during the Second World War. Residents of the village see in the Bolshoi Mountain Dog Belle only the threat and the enemy, who begin to hunt. Only a small boy of an orphan Sebastian is able to look at the animal with different eyes. Together they become inseparable friends, but this game of hide and seek only the beginning of a large adventure, which they will have to survive together.
