A Serious Man
A Serious Man
The main character of the film `Serious Man` is Larry Gopnik, a professor of Jewish college in the Midwest in 1967. Larry begins to wonder about the value of life when he discovers that his wife wants to divorce. He also has problems with his children, stealing the money from his wallet and his brother-woman who settled with him, because he has neither money nor maturity in order to live his own life. To all this, hostile anonymous notes received by him are added, which threaten his work at school, a graduate student who wants to get the necessary assessment by any means, who torments Larry, taking naked sunbathing. And it is a little surprising why Larry seeks to solve his existential problems, turning to the rabbis, which, as he hopes, will help him become more strict and loving.
