Germany. 1945. The very end of the war. A group of children goes on a journey through ruined Germany to get to her grandmother, who lives in the north of the country, Laura, remained alone with four younger brothers and sister after their parents, SS members, were arrested by the allies. This journey will show children a real real world and the consequences of the actions of their parents. After they meet Thomas, a young Jew, hatred and desire begin to torment Laura. She freezes with fear at the sight of him, but is forced to trust the one whom she is used to considering the enemy.
