Two seasoned Swedish detectives arrive in a tiny Norwegian town to help inexperienced local police investigate the murder of a girl. The “neat” killer allows the only miscalculation, which allows the detectives to ambush him. But, by an absurdity of circumstances, in a thick fog, the most experienced detective Jonas Engstrom accidentally kills his partner and misses a criminal who witnessed a fatal accident. Now Engstrem, who has on the hook of the killer, needs not only to cover the traces, but also to reveal the crime without substituting his involuntary accomplice.
