Jack Manfred is a novice writer who, suffering from the writer`s bloc, is settled to work in casino to support his literary ambitions. Jack watches the players with the same feeling of cold detachment with which it relates to writing his novel. He himself never makes bets, but when the seductive beauty and a regular casino involve him in a dangerous but potentially profitable scam, Jack believes that Fortune is on his side. He does not suspect that soon the temptations of the games will carry him much more than he could imagine.
