The Science of Sleep
La science des reves
Stefan is a closed and shy young man who sees incredibly inventive, bizarre and alarming dreams, now and then threatening to break into real life. At the request of his mother, Stefan returns to France - to the house where his childhood passed. Mother promises him a new, interesting work: it would seem that life finally begins to smile at him. But Stefan`s joy fades when he discovers that in fact his work consists in a monotonous and boring routine. Stefan should sit all day in a tiny basement and not see anyone except three colleagues, one of whom is always trying to entertain him, and a boss who dreams of being left alone forever. However, a new charm quickly comes to replace the disappointment: Stefan meets his new neighbor by the floor named Stephanie and her girlfriend Zoe. Acquaintance begins with the fact that Stefan damages his hand, helping to drag the furniture of their neighbors, and the girls take him as a loader. The shy Stefan does not dare to correct them and is now forced to hide that he lives behind the next door, for the sake of friendship with Stephanie. Stefan is not so inventive in lies as in their work, so the girls quickly recognize the truth.
