Charlotte Hollis is an elderly recluse that terrible memories and terrible hallucinations torment. She lives in the Louisian wilderness, in the old mansion, where her groom was killed and beheaded thirty -seven years ago, and many suspected her of murder. Now they are going to demolish the estate (a new route is laid), and Charlotte asks Kuzin Miriam, living in Virginia, to come to her and help. But with the arrival of Miriam, visions only worsen, and the life of Charlotte turns into a real hell.
