Having managed to survive at ruthless hunger games, Kitniss Everdin and Pete Mellark are in vain trying to forget about what happened to them in the Capitol. But President Snow, the dictator of the state, is a pan, and his clicks are not ready to leave the girl and the guy alone, considering them dangerous. The authorities decide to arrange indicative games in which the winners of past years from each distribution will take part. The lot is thrown: Kitniss and Pete are forced to return to the arena.
