The eleven -year -old Ingmar lives with her mother, who is sick with tuberculosis, and with an older brother. The service father is in Africa. To save her mother from worries and give her a little heal, the guy is sent for the summer to his uncle to a distant village, where everything is alien and unusual for him. But it is there that Ingmar meets the saga, his peer, perceiving her sincere love simply as a fleeting children`s bizaro. After Ingmar returned to the city, his mother soon dies in the hospital - and his uncle finally takes the boy to him. Ingmar is even more aggravated than before, feels his own restlessness, loses its previous hopes and illusions, calling his life “dog”.
