The plot is based on the difficult relationship of a rich American Jewish origin and her Afro-American driver. The film takes place in Atlanta in the 50s of the XX century, when racial prejudices were still strong. Miss Daisy is a widow whose son insists on hiring a driver for her. She opens up changes in her life, refuses to ride somewhere with a new driver-Hawk. But over time, Hawk conquers not only its location, but also friendship. The film talks about the search for mutual understanding between two very different people. And these searches occupy nearly twenty years.
