A businessman with a deceased face as a result of a fire in the laboratory undergo treatment with a psychotherapist and receives an amazing, just like a living mask from him. Soon after, to adapt to the mask, he seduces his own wife. But she claims that she all the time knew who he was. His personality, apparently, begins to change after he puts on a mask, as if it affects it. A new person does not allow him to join society ... a good -natured young woman whose right half of the face is mutilated, offended by curious views and insults, and is avoided by men. She asks her older brother, the only person who understands her pain and loneliness, to make love with her, hiding his intention to commit suicide from him after that.
