A new director, a famous scientist Edwards, comes to the Institute of Psychiatry. The employee of the institute Constance Petersen shows not only professional interest in him, and they have a stormy love novel. But the young professor begins to behave very strangely, and soon Constance discovers that her lover is not the one for whom he is imposed - he is an impostor who suffers from amnesia.
