A small family of a poor Japanese worker lives almost only on a pension of grandmother, so some of the relatives sometimes drive in stores. Once, returning home after the next theft, the head of the family picks up a little girl on the street. The wife meets the find negligently, but nevertheless accepts the child. A modest financial situation does not prevent a friendly family from living happily when on TV they see an announcement of the missing girl and decide not to return the child to a legal mother.
