In the name of the film, as well as the books on which it is shot, the first phrase of common Dutch boy jokes is intentionally used. This joke, however, is not at all funny. The South Provincial Stein becomes a successful advertiser in Amsterdam, marries the equally successful colleague Carmen, with the birth of their daughter they move to a large country house. And then `fate knocks on the door.`
