The Million Pound Note
June 1903. Adams, an unemployed American sailor, is in London. A torn and hungry he wanders aimlessly along the streets of the city, and at that moment fate encounters him with two millionaire brothers who make him an unusual proposal. They give him a banknote of a million pounds on the following conditions: if this banknote is not exchangeed by Adams for a month, then he receives any work. These are the conditions of the betting between the brothers. From this moment, Adams begins a new life. Now he is an “eccentric millionaire”, loans of all stores and banks of London are opened under his banknotes.
