The Notebook
A nagy fuzet
The story of how war is reflected in children. At the end of World War II, people in large cities of Eastern Europe live in constant fear of air raids and starvation. A desperate young mother takes her 13-year-old twins to the village to her grandmother, known for her rigidity and addiction to alcohol. Locals consider her a witch and suspect that she once poisoned her husband. Spread twins learn to survive in the new conditions and come to the conclusion that the only way to cope with the absurdity and inhumanity of the adult world is to become absolutely insensitive and merciless.
