Glasgow, summer of 1973. Glazer strike. Garbage bags complete the picture of sluggish devastation, and the smell of decomposition merges with the stench of the drainage canal. The twelve -year -old James becomes an involuntary culprit of the death of his friend Ryan, whom he, struggling, pushed into the water channel. James`s house is a neglected apartment where he lives with a dad that does not dry out from the dad, and two sisters, waiting for a new housing promised by the authorities. The bewildered James makes friendship with the company of adult guys and the strange boy Kenny, meets with a local little nibblers Margaret Ann, from time to time, visiting unfinished houses on the outskirts of the city. The strike is nearing the end, everything should work out, but what will James do when the witness of his terrible act will be found?
