The Innocents
The Innocents
The action takes place in Victorian England. Miss Giddens arrives at the uncle’s estate, who hired her governess to his young nephew and nephew, Flora and Miles. The housekeeper, Mrs. Grouz, introduces her to Flora, an angel-like child with a deceptive smile, who in some mysterious way knows in advance about the arrival of his brother, although they did not expect him. Miss Giddens sees the silhouette of a woman in the window, and then sees the man, catching a glimpse of his distorted face. When she talks about her discoveries by Miss Groose, she is told that descriptions coincide with the appearance of the deceased manager of the estate and his dead mistress, a woman who worked here to Miss Hidden Governor. Miss Giddens also learns that the late lovers supported the sadomasochist connection and had a significant impact on children. Are children obsessed with evil, unconquered perfumes or Miss Hiddens go crazy?
