The story of several representatives of bohemia living in the neighborhood with each other in one of the areas of New York. The picture describes one year from the difficult life of these people, some of which are infected with AIDS. In the same apartment with Roger lives a filmmaker Mark, who is trying to combine art with commerce. Girlfriend Mark, who is indulging in her desires, the circus actress Maurin, leaves him to the advocate Joanne.
