The film develops in the first third of the twentieth century in the northeast of China. Young Zyuski is forcibly married to a patient with a leprosy of an old man - the owner of Vinokurni. She is already carried in a red wedding palanquin, but one of Palankin’s porters, young and brave Yu, abducts the girl and thereby saves her from such an unenviable fate. Having tied their fate, young heroes become the owners of the distillery, where a miraculous drink is produced - a strong gaolaan wine, an invigorating spirit and healing many diseases.
