Wilson, a 29-year-old guy who has survived the worst year of his life, first finds himself in Los Angeles-without a girlfriend, without specific plans, but with the firm intention of “locking all the doors” and forgetting last year forever, as if he had never been. Everything is nothing until his best friend Jacob literally forcibly forces Wilson to place a private ad on Craig`s List. As soon as Vivian, a stubborn girl, obsessed with the thought of finding a real guy, decides to answer, a random, sometimes noisy, sometimes touching, journey through the `black` and `white` quarters of Los Angeles begins.
