William Wilberfors is a press policy, known for his charm, mind and zeal. Unlike most of his colleagues, he was already recognized as a very honest and bold man at the beginning of his career. The fateful meeting with the former slave Olaudau Ekvano encourages Wilberfors to start the fight against the anti -human practice of slave trade - economic power, so vital for the establishment that he enters into a cruel confrontation with most powerful people in the country. His friend, the future British Prime Minister William Pitt is his perfect partner. Pitt prefers to play according to the rules, and Wilberfors bursts into all doors, loudly demanding reforms. Both of them live by hope for the best future of the country, but the changes come slowly. However, Wilberfors does not give up even with the help of a motley coalition of the allies, which includes the former slaveor John Newton, a passionate abolitionist Thomas Clarkson and his energetic wife and political supporter Barbara Spaner, which will ultimately change history.
