The film takes place in the Canadian province of Ontario. Alex is an elderly man, he just left prison in which he was serving a term for the murder of a person. Vivienne is a young, romantic and eccentric girl. She persuades Alex to give her on the way home, to her mother. But the absurd, terrible accident in which Vivienes dies in a completely unpredictable way into the life of Alex and Mother Vivien, Linda.
