In the ruins of the destroyed statue of the Buddha, thousands of families are fighting for survival. Bakhtay, a six -year -old Afghan girl, wants to go to school following the example of a neighbor`s son, which she reads at the entrance to their cave. Having got the money to buy a precious notebook and taking the pencil of the lipstick of the mother in return, Bakhtay sets off. On the way, boys attack her, who, playing adults and reproduce terrible violence ... The boys want to score a little girl with stones, blow her up, as the Taliban blew up a statue of Buddha, shoot her like Americans. Will Bakhtay be able to escape from these cruel military games and get to school?
