The action takes place 2000 years ago, in the islands of the Pacific Ocean. The daughter of the leader, the 14-year-old dreamer of Moana Vayalika, to find his family, goes on a trip to the ocean in search of a fairy-tale island with her hero-tricster Maui, and together they have to cross the ocean, meeting along the path of huge marine creatures.
