Sweden, 1907. Maria falls in love with Siegfried and becomes his wife. Rough and aggressive Siegfried prefers to clean his irritation and dissatisfaction with life on his wife and children. Maria`s heavy and monotonous life changes when a woman has a small secret: in a charity lottery, she wins the wonders - a device for photographic pictures. Carried away by photography and learning to shoot, Maria understands that in addition to endless home problems, there is another world. Her pictures are special. Citizens are increasingly turning to her with a request to take family photos. It gradually turns out that Maria Larsson has a real talent for the photographer! But this is not at all like a husband who has returned from the war ...
