The protagonist Eugene constantly sees dreams where he is seduced by a fatal beauty in a red dress. Dreams are so fascinated by Eugene that he begins to look for a way to return to them as often as possible. To do this, he turns to a psychiatrist for help, who does not so much help Eugene as he begins to slowly and meticulously delve into his subconscious, in the best traditions of Freud and Jung.
