The young Italian Mario meets the Russian girl Natalia with an amazingly sweet face and bright eyes and madly falls in love with her. The grandmother of Natalia, an almost blind contemporary of furnished rooms, vigilantly and very strictly watches the granddaughter. To the disappointment of Mario in love, the girl was engaged to a middle -aged man renting a room in a grandmother`s boarding house, a tenant. He suddenly leaves the city, promising Natalia to return in a year. The girl patiently waits for the whole year, and the Italian in love, taking advantage of the absence of an opponent, opens the heroine a new world. The heart of the beauty is torn between the debt and the new feeling that took possession of it.
