A journalist with a philosophical surname David Locke comes to make material in northern sugar, but the work is not glued. Another painful and gaming day brings an unpleasant surprise: a neighbor who lives in the room is dying opposite. Obeying a sudden impulse, Locke takes the luggage of the deceased, shifts the photo in the passport and hastily leaves the hotel in the vague foreboding of a new life.
