A series of surrealistic episodes, at first glance not interconnected. The bourgeois couple examines photos of Parisian monuments and finds them pornographic. At the candlelight dinner, guests sit on the toilets instead of chairs: men lower their pants, women raise their skirts. A little girl disappears at school, and her searches are organized in her presence and with her help. The target of the film is the hypocrisy, church, army. In the world of Bunuel, everything turns upside down, and between the episodes there are pictures of repression with a cry behind the frame `Down with freedom!`.
