The respectable homeowner Hugh Koldwell kills his wife Jenis. In horror, he immediately calls his neighbor and a true friend Mark Galperin, who at that time plays cards in a bar nearby. Mark asks Hugh to go to the bar, and he comes to the crime scene and imitates the theft with a hack. The next morning, Colombo is instructed to investigate this matter. One catch: Halperin is the immediate supervisor of our lieutenant.
