The real story of the Spaniard Ramon Sampedro, who, being completely paralyzed for about thirty years, fought for 2 years for the right to voluntary departure. The film talks about his relationship with two women: Julia, his lawyer, and a friend of Rosa, who is trying to convince Ramon that life is worth living. The power of Ramon`s love inspires women to acts that seemed impossible to them. Ramon, despite the desire of death, reveals to his friends and relatives the value and meaning of life. He cannot move himself, but can make anyone change the course of his life.
