France of the XVIII century. Viscount Valmon and Marquis de Mertee lead a dangerous, broken hearts and crippled fates, a game. The Marquis, wanting to avenge the long -standing lover of Zherikura, promises Valmon to his favor if he seduces Cecil Wolange, the young bride Gorucrus. Instead, Valmon is fond of Mrs. de Tustvel, completely forgetting about the contract, and the Marquise has to look for workarounds.
