1939. The new teacher William Franklin comes to the Irish Catholic school. He teaches young novices literature and finds himself in the house of the Lord, after the loss of a loved one. But the school reigns fascist orders and other teachers are by no means friendly to it. Wanting to help the boys, but not wanting to lose their jobs, William understands that the best way to show them how to defend things they believe in is to change them forever.
