13-year-old Brioni has an excellent imagination and writes plays. She knows that the son of Robbie’s servants is in love with her older sister Cecilia and she reciprocates. But when her cousin Lola becomes a victim of a rapist, Brioni confidently shows to Robbie - her imagination finishes a picture of violence. Robbie goes to jail, and Cecilia refuses to believe Brioni, giving birth to a terrible enmity between the sisters. The film begins in 1935 and takes place against the background of World War II.
