The story of the touching friendship of two teenagers, one of whom - the eleven -year -old Dexter - is inconspicuously ill. Once, having read a note about a doctor who invented a unique medicine, Dexter with his neighbor and friend Eric, secretly from his mother, decides to go in search of his new Orleans. Having escaped from the house, they start downstream of the Mississippi River.
