The Time Machine
The Time Machine
Professor Alexander Hartdegen invented the time machine. Invented not because he is a genius-scientist, but in order to go into the past and save his bride from a random bullet. But her death could not be prevented - the past cannot be changed. In search of an answer to the question "Why?" Hartdegen climbs two hundred years old into the future, making the land in a terrifying state. Having been injured and fell into unconsciousness, he did not notice how his car passed through eight hundred thousand years of the history of planet Earth. Humanity has changed, the centuries of technocracy have sunk into oblivion, people have become similar to good Papuans living in llying houses suspended to rocks. But such a pastoral picture has a dark side. Some of humanity evolved into the morlons - monsters living underground in caves, and devouring those who live on Earth.
