The plot is based on a real story that happened in Japan and shocked the whole world. Once, returning from work, the college professor found a pretty puppy of the Akita-Inu breed at the station. Professor and Hachiko became faithful friends. Every day the dog escorted and met the professors at the station. And even the loss of the owner did not stop the dog in his hope that a friend would return.
