Larry Crowne
Larry Crowne
Before his dismissal, the friendly and amiable Larry Krown was a successful command director of a large company in which he worked after service in the Navy. Under the weight of a mortgage and being unclear from what to do with sudden free days, Larry goes to the local college to start all over again. There he becomes part of the motley community of outcasts and eternal losers who are in constant search for the best future for themselves ... and often dissecting the city surroundings on scooters. In classes on the technique of public speeches, Larry gives rise to an unexpected crush on his teacher Mercedes Wenot, who has lost as much passion for learning as she had her for her own husband. A simple guy who has every reason to think that his life has stopped, will learn an unexpected lesson: when you think that all possible values have already passed you, you can find a reason to live.
