Ironweed
Ironweed
The picture tells a dramatic story about a rejected person, a homeless alcoholic. The film takes place during the Great American Depression. In the hometown of Olbani, New York, the hero of the picture is returning-Jack Filan, a truncated tramp. After 20 years, he is again tormented by memories of the tragic and absurd murder committed by him in his youth, about the collapse of the family life and the death of his newborn child. Repentance does not allow the hero to take advantage of the forgiveness of his wife and the opportunity to return to a normal life. He is a `thistle`, he is used to life `at the bottom` and prefers to suffer and wander alone.
