During the Armenian genocide in 1915, Nazareth Manukyan loses his family. Years later, he accidentally finds out that his twin daughters may have been saved. Nazareth goes to their searches and reaches Mardin`s native village to the Mesopotamia desert, and then to the New World - to Havana and Northern Dakota.
