The biographical musical telling about the life of the famous Broadway actor, singer and dancer George M. Cohen, author of patriotic American songs. The picture is built as a chain of memoirs of the most aged Cohen about his own life, starting from the day of birth (July 4, 1878) before the award from the hands of the US president for contribution to art. This is the story of a person who produced, wrote and played in his musical show. The scenes of George’s children`s speeches, the story of his cooperation with the writer and producer Sam Harris, the reconstruction of fragments of the Broadway performances of Cohen. It is to him as a theorist of the American musical that the famous definition of the genre belongs - `Rhythm, rhythm and rhythm again!`.
