The Haven
Le Havre
Marseille Marx, in the past, a bohemian writer, moves to the port city of Havre and becomes a cleaner of boots. The lesson, although not very bread, gives Marcel a feeling of benefit for people. Putting the cross on his writer`s ambitions, Marseille is quite pleased with life, spending it between work, home and the nearest tavern. But once fate encounters him with a child-immigrant from Black Africa, and the wife of Marseille Arletti gets seriously ill. And again, Marseille faces the cold wall of indifference and tries to defeat a blind state car approaching a refugee child. Marseille weapons are only congenital optimism and support for numerous friends. Can he defeat this unequal struggle? ..
