Julia and Lillian are childhood friends. Julia is from a rich Jewish family, brought up in the United States with grandparents. There was a close relationship between the girls, but later life separated them. Painted by literature, Lillian gets closer to Dashil Hammet, and a medical student Julia goes to Europe, where he pours into an anti-fascist movement.
