Car crash. The car falls from the bridge to the river. Only young Mary Henry remains alive. She moves to a small town and wants to start a new life as an organist of the local church. Soon she begins to notice strange things: normal people in the city, it seems, do not see her, but only pale -faced types welcome that look dead and walk in an abandoned park outside the city.
