Sally Hyde really needs funds. Her husband Bob in the war in Vietnam. She is arranged by a nurse in a military hospital, where her friend Violet works. There she meets an old friend, Luke Martin. Luke returned from Vietnam paralyzed. Passion flashes between them. After Brother Violet committed suicide, another veteran who returned from the war with a clouded mind, all the thoughts of Luke are aimed at stopping a meaningless massacre.
