Paris, our time. Jean comes to his older brother, a photojournalist, and he went to the next war. Jean meets his brother’s friend, actress Ann, who is unhappy with the constant absences of Georges and decided to get rid of their unborn child. Ann is in no hurry to tell Jean a new code from the front door, and in upset feelings he arranges a quarrel on the street with African Amadu and the illegal Romanian immigrant Maria. The arrived police arrests Amadu and deportes Mary. In one moment, an unknown code is fatally changed by the fate of people and ties a story similar to a multicolor of Paris - a city that sets riddles and does not give answers.
