Entering Christmas to the New York toy store, the handsome thief Harry Lockhart accidentally presses on the alarm and, fleeing the police, falls into film tests in a detective film. The producer likes his assertiveness, and he invites Harry to Hollywood. He is preparing Lockhart for the film test Perry Van Shreik, a real detective, who also turned out to be a homosexual. The role of the main character is claimed by actress Harmoni Faith, with whom Harry connects the common love for the detective stories of Johnny Gossamera.
